I would also like to read the article since that particular desktop theme isn't even available for download on this site. I had to get it from customize dot org.

The reason I bring it up is because I love that one so much that I am working on additional screens and since I am such a newbie I need some help with little details I cannot find answers to.

It would help if this forum software had a SEARCH FEATURE! It would cut down on repeated questions.

I need to know how to link to un-linkable places like the control panel and all items inside the control panel individually for my Master Control terminal I am just about done with the graphics and theme inclusion on.

I guess I will upload my finished project over there instead of here. The level of help is a bit lacking here.

Not upset or trying to be rund or insulting... just get a bit frustrated at times.

I (with help from one person) have solved my delimas and have discovered more things to be done but I won't bother anyone here with more questions since it is aparent that if you are new... nobody cares to help you learn.

Citizen Flack Jacket ...possibly part of the problem here is this thread's author no longer has access to Wincustomize.com to post in the forum, so the thread sits idle.

Normally Wincustomize is as good as any at providing assistance/feedback to those new to the game....if not here then also on #stardock [IRC]...

Thank you for your informing response. However, I was not merely refering to this single thread. I asked these questions in my own dedicated thread and only got one response. Even though that response was helpful... no further additions to that thread were given any attention whatsoever which is frustrating. I am fully aware that nobody is obligated to respond to my seemingly dumb questions having built and run a very large forum with more that 100,000 threads and 60,000+ members. I understand that but the responses like scorpio-logic before and night train after are uncalled for and are more frustrating that no response at all..

But thank you for trying to explain the situation.

While you have obviously made a name for yourself here and have done some very fine work, I don't appreciate your response and would prefer you kept things like that to yourself.

While everyone here may repect you for your accomplishments, that kind of verbal rederick can only tarnish that reputation in my book. If you have no wisdom to share... don't bother with anything at all. Remember, you were new once too and while it may or may not have come easy to you... some of us have lives and not endless hours at the computer to become an overnight success at this stuff.

Thanks anyway to all... I will try to make better contact at a later time when everyone snaps out of their "holiday mood". Meanwhile I will continue the work I am doing right or wrong.

Citizen Flack Jacket ...if it looks like your thread is being swamped [read 'lost'] amongst all the others...a simple trick is to type 'bump' as a comment which will push it back to the 'most recent' comments/threads and may evince more response.

60,000 site members is a commendable number but it really does tend to pale into insignificance with Wincustomize.com whose current membership is pushing 2.5 million.

Being just one amongst so very many can find threads and their responses disappear into the throng...

Thank you for your further response (and the spelling, I always get a rise out of someone spelling that word that way)

It was always determined that bumping a thread like that was frowned upon but good to know in the future. Being lost in the list was not the concern, rather the needless replies like the one from scorpio-logic... nothing more.

May I ask... was alpha-omega banned and was it due to the lcars evolved project? The only reason I ask is to avoid stepping on toes with my taking that theme further. If that is all the case then I will keep it all to myself when I am done and not attempt to share it with the trekkies. If it is none of my business (and it surely is non of my business), please do not hesitate to say so and I will not ask again.
